Right, @Bonobo, not mutually exclusive at all.

I've long thought humans to be pretty arrogant in claiming exclusive license to "consciousness", "self awareness" and so on. Not surprisingly (to me anyway), #fish are now showing testable #self awareness (e.g. see this link from Max Planck Gesselschaft).
