Greetings, fellow Earthlings!
I'm
not #
newhere (or on this planet, as I'm over 70!) but I wanted to refresh my interests and mention that I have been terribly lax in adding people who may share them. (I've been on Joindiaspora since beta.) The fedeverse/fediverse is vast, so it's natural to feel lost. I've just been lazy. The impetus seems to be more on finding people than them finding you. As there's no "
You may also like" bullshit or algorithms deciding what you see, you'll only see what you can (mostly) control. It means you do need to follow tags and people and cull the list from time to time. I've been bad about that this year,
mea culpa.
I've been interested in #
technology for about 60 years, starting with the radio transmitters I built with transistors and other discrete parts.
I've playing #
music, starting with rock in the 1960's and #
blues and #
jazz in the 1970's. After working in a two-person #
wine related business with my wife for 20 years, I now devote my days to creating, #
composing and #
recording music.
If I followed you, it may be for one of those things. I'm interested in #
science and facts, but not politics, gaming or sports. I like art and photos but find them to sometimes overwhelm the feed. I admit I tend to broadcast my own music. If no one listens to it, it's not worth going to the trouble and expense of producing it, although I would still be composing and playing it, even for myself and a few close friends.
#
musicians and other performers know this is a terrible time for them as there's nowhere to play live. It isn't as if we could move to another country, either.
If you got this far, I hope to talk soon, and thanks to those who boost the visibility of music you like.
Finally, here a preview of the latest thing I posted, composed about one week ago:
