Someone knows a little bit about Qt and C++, I'd like to run a command line from my program, I searched a little bit everywhere, but I don't understand anything xD

The program mentioned https://github.com/Nesakko/BlenderRender

Here in my "command" section, the command line is generated from the options and it's the command line to run, currently I need to copy and paste to my terminal, the objective being to do without the terminal by clicking on "Render" ^^

I don't publish this after an hour of searching, I get really stuck since some days ^^
Voilà, If anyone can help me or explain me quickly, in French or English, please, you'd be adorable, thanks.

Hello and a big welcome

to everyone new to diaspora\*

We're so pleased that you've decided to give diaspora\* a try. It's fantastic that you've joined us!

We hope that you quickly find your way here, and enjoy getting connected with people and content.

Here's a few tips for getting started:
  • There are some step-by-step tutorials on our project website covering the basics of how diaspora* works, and how to get connected with people. There's a link to these in the side-bar, should you ever want to read them in future, and there's also an in-app Help section you can access through your user menu (at the right-hand end of the header bar).
  • You can search for people by name or by diaspora* ID (which looks like an email address), if you know it, from the search field in the header bar. You can invite people to join you in diaspora* by sending them a link to our project website, from where they can choose their own pod to register with. Your friends don't need to be on the same pod as you in order to connect and communicate with you.
  • One good way to start getting connected with people is to start following some #tags of subjects that interest you (maybe #music, #photography, #linux, or #activism ... whatever interests you) so that you will see content on those topics in your stream. You can then start following people whose posts you find interesting, by placing them into one of your aspects.
  • If you have any questions, post something with the #question or #help tag, and people will try to help you. Make sure to make your post public so anyone who can help is able to see it!
diaspora\* has some very simple community guidelines, which we hope everyone will feel able to follow so that all members can have the best possible experience here.

We're trying to improve diaspora* all the time, fixing bugs, honing performance and adding new features. But how fast we can do this is limited by the time developers have. To improve diaspora* faster, we need more developers! If you've just signed up and can code, or know someone who can and who might be interested in joining our team, get in touch!

On a #printed #paper that I myself print, I can put my signature on it with a pen. But if someone else print it (from a file) it should still be possible to #validate my (electronic) signature from the printed paper. The #question is how.
A #QR #code could be added. In LaTeX that could point to a #detached signature of the .tex-file. In the #document could be a link to the public #key (maybe as another QR code) for #verification. Is it workable? How to do it in LibreOffice?

♥ diaspora *

This is some info my pod-admin sent me that might help:
... make sure you are following a bunch appropriate #hashtags and sharing with people or else you won't find any interesting content: You like #music or maybe you are interested in #streetart ?

Also make sure you engage, leave comments and use proper hashtags in your own posts, otherwise we wouldn't be able to find your profile and/or content either.

Everything here is done manually by it's users. It's up to the community to distribute content, support each other and invite new people.

There is no central system that determines and/or dictates what people see.

You can find out more at the FAQ for users [link].
Hope that is of #help

I'm having a hard time with Google docs s of late. It randomly underlines the work you see and as I'm typing, the words go there spoiling the whole sentence.
Is there any way to fix this at all?
Also as of late Chrome blinks black and white and stops loading pages too.i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it's updated.
Probably Android 7 fugging things up or Google has gone crap on me

Diaspora has no concept of a community as in g+, it's completely working with Hashtags. You can subscribe to Hashtags.
Your stream is chronological and contains all the posts from your aspects and the public posts from your subscribed Hashtags.
Here is an older post who simply describes the federation and Fediverse.
In Diaspora all posts are distributed to all other servers (pods) in the network. So it doesn't matter where you register. Fully decentralized.

I recommend looking at #diaspora #question and #help Hashtags for some more information.
Or checkout the tutorials.
For desktop Firefox and chrome there is a nice extension called Diaspora Optimizer https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/diaspora-optimizer/

It's not possible to edit a post.

Fediverse, how do I know what version my server runs?

Sometimes you're in a situation when you want to know which version of a software the instance you are using runs.
For example, the software rolls out a cool new feature you read about somewhere. But of coarse it's only in the very newest version.
Or you are on the search for a new instance and you want to check if it is somehow outdated or pretty modern.

So I decided to find out how you can find out what version the software is running.

#diaspora*

If you are logged in it's on the sidebar

And if you ain't logged in you can find it on the bottom of the landing page
Bild/Foto

#Friendica

In general: You want to access the site https://your.friendica.server/friendica

So you can type that into the url bar of your browser and you'll get a page like this:
Bild/Foto

You can access that page if you are logged in when you click your nickname-menu in the upper right corner, that choose "help" scroll down and there is a link to the version-page
Bild/Foto

If you are not logged in there is an Info-I in the upper right corner (e.g. on the log in page, but also on the register page…)
Bild/Foto

#Funkwhale

No matter if you are logged in or not, scroll down on any page there will be some footer and most likely in the very left column it tells you the version of the instance:
Bild/Foto

#Hubzilla

Access https://your.hubzilla.server/siteinfo by typing this into your address bar or for example by clicking Burger-Menu → Help → About this pod → Siteinfo as seen on the screenshot:

Bild/Foto

On that page you can see the version of your hubzilla hub:
Bild/Foto

#Mastodon

There seem to be several ways to find the version. For example, if you are logged in and you have the standard view with "first steps" in the very right column it tells the version on the bottom of that column:
Bild/Foto

Or you try to access one of the "meta"-pages of your server like /explore or /about/more or /terms. On all these pages the version in noted in the footer at the bottom of the page:
Bild/Foto

Matrix

I have no idea, it probably depends on your client. Maybe someone has a hint for me

#Misskey

On the landing page if you're not logged in the version info is in the bottom right corner. If you are logged in it's on the left side.

Bild/FotoBild/Foto

#Peertube

No matter if you're logged in or not on every single page on the verry bottom in the middle of the page/column it says something like
Bild/Foto

#Pixelfed

On any and every page of pixelfed there is a text "Powered by Pixelfed" in the bottom right corner. You have to hover that text with your mouse to get the version information.
Bild/Foto

#Pleroma

I couln't find a way to get the version on the web interface (tell me if you know) but with as post projects you can access the nodeinfo
Usually it is located at https://your.pleroma.server/nodeinfo/2.0.json but if not, you can find out the correct URL under https://your.pleroma.server/.well-known/nodeinfo. If your browser cannot render the JSON proper you can paste the content into a json viewer and hit "viewer".
Somewhere is a block "software" that contains the field "version" where you can find pleromas version. Don't confuse it with the "version"-statement for the document (for example 2.0 or 2.1 that is the nodeinfo-version, not the pleroma-version).

#Plume

As far as I can see it's written on every page in the pages footer on the left site:
Bild/Foto
easy huh?

#Wordpress

As of the wide usual customization of wordpress I couldn't find a way how most of the instances expose their version. Try to follow the nodeinfo -way I discribed at Pleroma because it seems some (many?) wordpress instances use it.

#WriteFreely

(once known as "write.as")
Like some other projects the version of a write freely instance is pointed out at the bottom of almost every page:
Bild/Foto
This article and all images are licensed as #cc-by so if you have more information about this or something is outdated: Feel free to take this text, modify and repost it as your own. Just don't forget to give me ( @Deus Figendi ) attribution.
The projects I chose to explain here were those with the most nodes on the-federation.info (except ActivityRelay because it's not so relevant for users). And the order is alphabetically.

Dear non-German community, I need some help.

Imagine you are walking through the pedestrian zone of a German city and you see this in the pavement of your path:

You check Open Street Map and see this:

https://www.openstreetmap.org/query?lat=49.01857&lon=12.09212

Or you check Open Street Map while you are planning a trip to Germany and see something like this.

What do you make of it? What would you like to know?

I'm editing Open Street Map entries for these places in a city with a fair number of international tourists. I'm wondering what info to add for non German speakers.

Note: This post is written on a Hubzilla account, I don't get notifications about reshared posts and will not find comments on reshared posts, unless I they show up in my stream in which case I will "like" them. Please comment on the original post, if possible.

Diaspora* usability tip

In the sidebar over on the left at the top of the Stream page is a Bookmarklet link. You might already know that you can click the arrow to the left then drag the text 'Post to diaspora' onto your bookmark bar to turn it into a bookmarklet. While looking at any web page, you can click that bookmarklet and a pop-up window will open with the title of the web page and the link to it ready for you to add some hashtags and post it to Diaspora.

Did you know that if you highlight some text on the page before clicking the bookmarklet, that text will be formatted for you as a quote? It would be nice if browsers let you highlight more than one piece of text by using Ctrl+Drag, but we can't have all the things.

I hope you found this useful. If you did, how about sharing it?

Frage | Benutzt Diaspora Meta Tags?

Eben habe ich den Beitrag (englisch) von @Sunyata gelesen in dem er fragt ob Diaspora Meta Tags verwendet. Hat einer von Euch da eine Idee?

Antworten am besten direkt bei Sunyatas Beitrag. :-)

Developer question: Does diaspora use meta tags?

Hi all, i'm an old developer but new to the web, and wanted to ask: Does diaspora use meta tags to preview content from links entered? Or are there plans to do this in the future?

For twitter i found this for example:
<meta name="twitter:title" content="European Travel Destinations ">
<meta name="twitter:description" content=" Offering tour packages for individuals or groups.">
<meta name="twitter:image" content=" [url=http://euro-travel-example.com/thumbnail.jpg]http://euro-travel-example.com/thumbnail.jpg[/url]">
<meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image">

Reference

Is there something similar that diaspora can use? (I'm asking because i'm working on a web app that could use this feature)

#docker does not read /etc/docker/daemon.json #help
In the good old times everything was easy. Asking google for "docker does not read /etc/docker/daemon.json" gave an answer why it doesn't do, or some sensible links for troubleshooting.
Nowadays you get links to completely unrelated or high-level trouble-shootings that all don't match my problem: Because I already traced down enough of that stuff and it's not a problem with my systemd around that ...

And so I'm wondering, simply why a trivial
$ docker daemon

doesn't even try to read my /etc/docker/daemon.json .

How do I know? Because I straced it:
root@wall:~# docker version
Client:
 Version: 1.8.3
 API version: 1.20
 Go version: go1.4.3
 Git commit: f4bf5c7
 Built:
 OS/Arch: linux/arm
Cannot connect to the Docker daemon. Is 'docker -d' running on this host?

root@wall:~# ls -la /etc/docker/daemon.json
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 84 Feb 18 12:25 /etc/docker/daemon.json

root@wall:~# strace -fv -efile docker daemon -D 2>&1 | grep /etc/docker
[pid 3730] stat64("/etc/docker/key.json", {st_dev=makedev(179, 2), st_ino=127806, st_mode=S_IFREG|0600, st_nlink=1, st_uid=0, st_gid=0, st_blksize=4096, st_blocks=8, st_size=281, st_atime=2019-02-18T11:42:21+0100.470916877, st_mtime=2019-02-18T11:42:21+0100.470916877, st_ctime=2019-02-18T11:42:21+0100.470916877}) = 0
[pid 3730] stat64("/etc/docker", {st_dev=makedev(179, 2), st_ino=127805, st_mode=S_IFDIR|0700, st_nlink=2, st_uid=0, st_gid=0, st_blksize=4096, st_blocks=8, st_size=4096, st_atime=2019-02-18T11:42:21+0100.460917576, st_mtime=2019-02-18T12:25:59+0100.223696350, st_ctime=2019-02-18T12:25:59+0100.223696350}) = 0
[pid 3730] open("/etc/docker/key.json", O_RDONLY|O_LARGEFILE|O_CLOEXEC) = 5

So - the Daemon doesn't read the file, he doesn't even try to look for the file.
(yes, I also looked at the complete strace output.)

Everything on a fresh, current raspbian for the lolz ... any ideas here around?
