I think this is probably a good summary of where we stand at the moment. Boris Johnson is gambling in an extremely high risk game. If he fails/loses the result will be catastrophic with a double whammy to the economy and the finances of the country, not to mention the potential to break up the country. While they might hope to be able to hide the results of a no deal Brexit in the Covid-19 impact I don't think the majority of the voters will fall for that, the impact will just be too big and hit different sectors than the ones currently hit.
