Well, based on this logic the UK is massively undemocratic. The Prime Minister is in effect elected by a tiny minority of the population (the party members), so not representative at all. The MPs elected through first past the post do not represent the share of the vote their party received. A party with far less than 50% of the popular vote can have a majority in parliament. How is that democratic?
Do Remainers even understand how the EU works?

The Telegraph is called the Torygraph for a reason :)
Add to those facts that the House of Lords is completely appointed by parties and royal patronage and until recently had hereditary peers having a say in how the UK is governed. It's really a veneer of democracy.
